On 1st – 11th November 2020 the ANHDO IPM Team in close coordination with Mazar EU-FARM/GIZ team conducted a theoretical and practical eleven days on-season training on almond Integrated Pest Management (IPM) to 199 almond orchard growers of Dehdadi, Balkh, Nahre-Shahi, and Khulm districts of Balkh Province.
The main purpose of the training was to develop the technical capacity and orchard management skills of the orchard growers on diagnoses and controlling almond pest & diseases through organic pesticides; and introduction of the beneficial organisms to them in the field. Meanwhile some informative brochures and posters regarding IPM were distributed as well.
The total number of participants is 223 that includes 199 almond orchard growers, 8 FLRC cluster members, 13 DAIL staff and 3 private orchard growers plus our EU-FARM/GIZ colleagues in Balkh.
