Project Summary: value addition of horticulture products to meeting the regional and international market demands for 625 households in 13 districts of above 4 provinces,
Project Activities:
• 106 fruit producers, fruit processors and traders/exporters on small-scale harvest and postharvest handling and management practices of fruit products supported.
• Fruit losses and wastage reduced to 50% compare to last year, based on before and after method or pre and post KAP and increased the income of producers.
• High Quality and standard fruit products produced through 145 fruit producers, fruit processors and traders/exporters to meet national and export market requirements.
• An Enhanced capacity and skill of 625 fruit producers, processors and traders/exporters on harvest, postharvest practices to produce quality products and reduce fruit losses.
• Distribution of equipment and tools regarding harvest, cool chains, sorting, grading, packaging, processing and on farm zero energy storage to 145 beneficiaries.
• Organized various training courses on small-scale harvest and postharvest handling and management practices to 625 target beneficiaries and other fruit producers, fruit processors, fruit traders/exporters, CIGs and extension workers for improvement of their technical knowledge and skills.
